Student Health Starts in School
Waco Family Medicine partners with Waco ISD to provide accessible behavioral health, dental, vision, and medical services that support healthier students, stronger attendance, and improved readiness to learn.
School-Based Behavioral Health Program
Waco ISD and Waco Family Medicine are partnering to provide students with access to mental and behavioral health support. The program helps expand access to care, reduce time away from class, support evidence-based treatment, and strengthen existing school support services.
Services are available at Tennyson Middle School, G.W. Carver Middle School, Cesar Chavez Middle School, and coming soon to Waco ISD elementary schools.

Mobile Dental Program
Waco Family Medicine dentists travel to select elementary schools to see children during a dental clinic onsite at the school. This applies to medicaid and commercial insurance children only. Ask your school nurse if the school is participating in this program or call our dental team for more information.

Vision Care for Waco ISD Students
Waco Family Medicine now provides vision care for students enrolled in Waco ISD. Students identified through school screenings or referrals can receive eye exams, retinal imaging, and prescriptions for glasses or contacts at our Tom Oliver S. 18th location.
- No need for parents to miss work or arrange transportation
- Students stay in school while receiving care
- Faster appointments compared to other providers
- Access to providers who accept Medicaid
- Early detection of vision issues that can impact learning
