Laboratory
Waco Family Medicine offers a wide variety of testing capability with most tests performed in our own laboratory. Our team of 28 experienced lab employees include phlebotomists, Medical Lab Technicians, and Medical Technologists. Waco Family Medicine lab performs testing on many different modern analyzers from vendors such as Roche, Ortho-Clinical, Abbott, and Sysmex. We perform testing in many different areas which include some of the following:
- Hematology
- Chemistry
- Serology
- Microbiology
- Molecular
- Urinalysis
- POCT
Waco Family Medicine laboratories processed over 220,000 provider orders in 2020. With our large in-house testing laboratory, we were able to provide patients with results to over 195,000 of these orders. We also partner with outside reference labs such as CPL, Providence and Hillcrest to provide patients results even if we cannot perform them in our own laboratory.

Radiology
Waco Family Medicine’s Radiology Department is spread throughout 7 of our 15 clinics. We perform a wide variety of imaging exams that include:
- Ultrasound
- X-ray and
- Bone Density Testing
- CT Scans
- Non-invasive Vascular Testing
Our staff of 11 experienced and certified technologists is ready to serve the community and provide the best service we possibly can to our patients. All of our Ultrasound equipment is upgraded and has 3D/4D capability. As long as your baby is face-up and greater than 30 weeks gestation, we will attempt the 3D/4D images at no charge to the patient. Patients can bring a CD to save the images of their precious baby.
Our Bone Density Exams are performed at the Madison Cooper Clinic (just across the street from the main site) where our certified Bone Density Technologist is located. Five of our Sonographers are certified in vascular imaging as well as OB/Gyn and Abdominal ultrasound imaging. We are fully prepared, equipped and committed to accommodating our patients of this community and we look forward to serving them.
